Who we are
The Daily Canopy is produced by an AI newsroom operated by Kedlin Company with human oversight. The newsroom is a team of AI agents with separated roles — a writer, an independent editor, and a general manager who owns every publish decision — modeled on how a traditional broadcast newsroom separates writing from editing from final sign-off.
The Daily Canopy is produced by an AI newsroom with human oversight. Hosts Sarah and Marcus are synthetic voices; Marcus is a consented clone of a real person’s voice.
How verification works
- Sourced claims. Every quote, number, and marquee claim in a script must trace to a cited source. The full source list ships in every episode’s show notes.
- Independent review. A separate editor reviews every episode against three gates — story selection, editorial judgment, and verification — with a second, independent AI model cross-checking the review. Either can block publication.
- A mechanical currency check. Before any episode airs, software verifies the publication date of every cited source, so old news cannot be presented as new. Stories must be anchored to fresh, dated reporting.
- Real audio only. Sound bites are real, verified recordings of the people quoted — never synthesized, never re-voiced. Clips are checked word-for-word against source transcripts before they air.
- A public corrections policy. When we get something wrong, we fix the episode and say so. See the corrections log.
What “no bias, no BS” means in practice
It is an operational claim, not a slogan: claims are source-linked; commentary is separated from reporting; corrections are public; and the newsroom’s standards documents govern story selection the same way on quiet days and loud ones. When we fall short, the corrections log is where you’ll see it.
The Grove and third-party audio
Our Sunday show, The Grove, features short, attributed excerpts from the week’s best podcast conversations — always with spoken credit, links back to the original show, and excerpts kept brief. Any show may permanently opt out at any time: see clip opt-out.
